hmm.

Alter Bridge - Rise Today

go check it out.

humans are a strange race. we are so willing to put all our faith and all our belief into something intangible. something unseen, something not physically present. we have faiths and religions that we place our lives into. its a human psychology that when we cannot find something or someone sufficient in the world to place our faith in, we turn to something unseen because its comforting to think that it is always there.

but yet, it is exactly that blind faith that empowers the human race, curiously enough. its because faith empowers the spirit. it gives strength whereby nothing physical can. it comforts, it consoles. we can't deny that because of faith, many great things have been done, and many great men have emerged. inspiring stories of martyrs and the like keep us in awe and bewilderment at the degree of faith.

and sometimes for those who are skeptical, its just faith that we should depend on to give us answers to "who" "what" "why" "when" "where" "how" when it comes to religion. yes, there will always be things unanswered, but as irrational as it seems, we must believe that there is an answer, just inpercieveable by us right now.

for those who know me well enough, i'm a skeptic.

yes, i'm sometimes skeptical about religion after having understood the way humans think. and it hard coming to terms with the idea of embracing something that you don't see, feel, touch. even harder is committing yourself and loving that unseen thing.

but at the end of the day, all added up, i do acknowledge a God. i do acknowledge that there is a higher power. why?

take a look around you. science is a product of God. everything unexplained by science at our present time is a miracle of God, and this has been so through the ages. every unexplained thing was considered divine intervention.

you see beauty in nature. in life itself. nothing in this world can give life. you ask yourself how the himalays rise from the land, you ask yourself how our bodies function, and you ask how beautiful the world we live in is. and after you ask yourself that, it is hard to deny that there is something greater.

i was on a plane to Perth, Australia last year. on christmas day. and it probably was the most magical christmas ever even though i was 30000 ft above the ocean. this was the view i saw. it was really breathtaking.

and after that was sunrise,

all on christmas day.
