aiming.

since i was young i always asked myself a question that most people would one day ask themselves some point along their life.

"what is my purpose in life?"

and everytime i asked myself that, i reminded myself that God has put me on earth for a reason. a reason that i might not be able to see now, but hopefully in future i would be able to see my path that i was made to fulfill and complete. meanwhile in my search of that purpose, to live life to the fullest, to reach for my dreams, because dreams are the foundations of our passions.

but you know what i think its the greatest purpose of us as people on earth are? to live a life which is able to touch other lives in whatever way you can. from simple acts of kindness to great acts of self-sacrifice, they all add to the fulfillment of a life led for others, and that in itself gives it meaning. life that is given to us isnt complete until we feel love and show love. its true that a life without love is no life at all. be in all sorts of love. they greatest gift you can give someone is care, concern and love. to touch a life with love, is true fulfillment of your purpose in life. you changed someone else's life.

that in itself gives you purpose. so take time to show love to someone and remember that no matter what your return is, you have affected someone in one way or another. i believe God gives us purpose in life. He shows us love as a model for us to show love to others. God is love, Jesus is love, and if we are to live like Jesus, we are to show love too.

God's love is unabandoning. it is endless, and unconditional even in the fact of rejection. because God is here to save lives, not destroy them. and the best way to save a life and change is life, is to show unconditional love. the only way to change a cold hard heart, is to melt it with the warmth of love. God is always there to wipe your tears away when you cry. He's there in the quiet of the room as you pour your heart out in tears. He's there when you're in need. When hope is bleak. When you think that giving up is the only way to go. He gives hope. He gives you wings to help you to fly and soar. He protects you. He is the silver lining on every cloud. He carries you through the storm. He is the lone pair of footsteps on the beach, carrying you. He stands beside you as your face your difficulties. What more can you ask of someone? How great is a person who can show love like that?

therefore i think that our true purpose is not different but common. to touch lives, to change lives, and to love.

i want to really thank all the people who are in my life whom i havent thanked who have shown me love, care, concern. you all have made me into the person i am today. without you i am nothing. thanks mom, dad, all my friends who have given a damn about me. friends who have critiqued me and helped me to change and grow as a person. church youth who have helped me in my walk towards God. But most importantly, i want to thank God. for the life i have, for the people in my life, and the things that happen in my life which shape me.
